Ron Covington

Design Consultant

I came into the dental industry in 1976 as a manufacturer's representative covering Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. My previous career was in construction and little did I know I would be right back in the "sticks and bricks" business within two years of joining what I thought would be a "white collar" job. By 1978, I was drawing dental offices with a pencil and T-square and working with contractors in planning services for dental equipment.

With the introduction of computer-aided design in 1986, my friend and mentor, Pat Counts, and I saw an opportunity to add this to our skills in selling and designing dental offices. Computer-aided design has been my working companion ever since. I never felt comfortable in advising doctors on what "I" thought would work best for them. With the introduction of AutoCAD as a presentation tool, I could give them many options and let them decide how they and their staff could enjoy work, be more efficient, and deliver the best possible healthcare to their patients. My first, and most important, question to my customers is and will always be: "What is YOUR vision of YOUR practice and how can I help?"

On a personal note, I would like to say, “Goodbye, old Friend,” to Pat Counts, who passed away on April 1, 2016. I thank Pat for his foresight and leadership…I don't regret a moment of following his lead.

Customer testimonials about Ron Covington:

"In Midwest I found a company that is committed to her clients. They have always been there for us and are always in the best disposition to help us. [Sales Representative] Scott Boldt, [Service Manager] Darrell Maraggia, [Equipment & Office Design Expert] Mr. Ron Covington, ...and all the staff from Midwest have made it possible for us to move to our new location with as few roadblocks as possible. Most important I know that I can count on them to help smooth any ‘rough spots’ that may appear in the road of running a practice."
